After an incredible Chamber of Commerce event and a weekend full of community connection, we were honored to receive two customer reviews back-to-back in under 24 hours. Moments like these make us stop and reflect on why we do what we do — and what truly defines “success” for a small, locally owned business.

We’re Not the Biggest — But Our Service Is Award-Winning

Every year, Property Tenders is recognized in up to five different categories across local nominations. And while we know we’re up against much larger companies with bigger budgets and bigger followings, we’ve learned something important:

We may not win every award — but we win customers, and that matters more.

Our “awards” come in the form of heartfelt reviews, handshakes, repeat business, referrals, and the genuine relationships we build throughout Lower Sussex County. That’s real recognition. That’s real impact.

A Recent Cleanout That Reminded Us Why We Care

One of our most meaningful projects this month involved a property being sold due to Medicaid rules surrounding a second home. These situations can be emotional, overwhelming, and deeply personal — and we never take that responsibility lightly.

The homeowner trusted Property Tenders to:

  • Document each stage of the cleanout with photos

  • Communicate clearly through every step

  • Sort items that could be sold to help offset costs

  • Donate usable belongings to the local SPCA, Goodwill, and community thrift shops

  • Reduce landfill waste through responsible recycling

  • Show compassion and humanity during a difficult transition

After the project was finished, the homeowner sent us a typed letter of gratitude, thanking our team not just for the work — but for the humanity behind it. She thanked us every time we spoke. She saw how much we cared about her home, her belongings, and her story.
