Coaching Others in Google Workspace Skills
Coaching Others in Google Workspace Skills
How teaching tech tools opened doors to productivity and purpose
As a full-time teacher and small business owner, I’ve worn a lot of hats. One of the most unexpected but rewarding parts of this journey has been the opportunity to coach others in technology—especially tools within the Google Workspace suite.
During the height of COVID-19, educators across the country were thrust into tech-heavy environments. We learned quickly how to navigate platforms like Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more—often developing workflows, shortcuts, and creative problem-solving skills that weren’t part of our job descriptions before 2020.
Turning Classroom Skills into Coaching Moments
Recently, I had the chance to work one-on-one with someone who needed help using Google tools more efficiently. While I wondered if my knowledge might be too specific, it quickly became clear that small tips—like organizing data in Google Sheets or using slides to pitch an idea—had a big impact.
It wasn’t just about understanding the tools. It was about helping someone boost their sales productivity, confidence, and day-to-day workflow. That kind of coaching is more than tech support—it’s professional development with heart.
The Property Tenders Mindset
At Property Tenders, we’re used to variety. One day we’re out checking on a beach house or hauling bulk items for a client. The next, we’re teaching someone how to clean up their inbox or streamline a process using Google Docs.
That flexibility is part of what makes our business both unique and sustainable. We’ve learned to stay in our lane—focusing on what we do well—and bring in trusted partners when needed. We don’t try to be everything to everyone, and that honesty builds trust with our customers.
Embracing Growth Through Training
Everyone has gaps. That’s not a flaw—it’s an opportunity. Through training, coaching, and persistence, anyone can grow their digital fluency and become a more valuable asset to their company and themselves.
Whether you're leading a team or running your own business, helping others grow their skills is one of the most powerful investments you can make.
Let’s Connect
If you're looking for help with digital tools, need professional development, or just want to talk about growing a business that wears a lot of hats—I’d love to connect.
Let’s keep learning.
